Who are the Summer Workshops for?
Our Summer Music Workshops in Basildon are open to children and teenagers of all musical abilities. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or already plays confidently, every session is designed to be fun, supportive and engaging.

Do I need previous musical experience?
Not at all. Most workshops are beginner-friendly, with tutors adapting activities to suit different experience levels. Workshops labelled "Intermediate" are best suited to students with some prior experience.

What age groups are the workshops suitable for?
Most workshops are ideal for ages 8–16. If you're unsure whether a session is suitable for your child, please contact us and we'll be happy to advise.

What should participants bring?
Just themselves, lunch and plenty of enthusiasm! Instruments and equipment are provided where needed, although guitarists and drummers are welcome to bring their own equipment if preferred.
Where are the workshops held?
All workshops take place at Kaleo Music Studios in Basildon, Essex, in our fully equipped teaching studios.
How long are the workshops?
Each workshop runs from 9:00am until 3:00pm unless otherwise stated. The Songwriting & Recording workshop runs across two consecutive days.

Can parents stay?
Parents are welcome to drop off and collect their children, but workshops are designed for students to attend independently.

How do I book?

Are places limited?
Yes. We keep workshop sizes small so every participant receives plenty of individual attention from our experienced tutors.

Absolutely! Our workshops encourage teamwork, creativity and confidence while giving young musicians the opportunity to meet others with similar interests.

That's completely normal. Our friendly tutors create a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone can learn at their own pace and build confidence.
